Two More Join The Mayoral Race

By Jenna Carlesso

June 09, 2011

Two more people have declared themselves candidates in the race to be the city's next mayor.

Joseph Morano, a Democrat, and Philip M. Andrew, who signed up as member of the "people's inclusionary party," have joined the pool of candidates, Town and City Clerk John Bazzano said.

Neither of them participated in last night's mayoral candidate forum.

They join incumbent Mayor Pedro Segarra, attorney Shawn Wooden, former teachers' union leader Edwin Vargas, the Rev. Patrice Smith, local television entrepreneur J. Stan McCauley, all Democrats, and former city Councilman Michael McGarry, a Republican.
