More Charter Revision

By Jeffrey B. Cohen

April 17, 2009

The city's Charter Revision Commission train rolls on, week by week.

Cityline missed Thursday's installment, but, thankfully, Real Hartford didn't. One issue apparently discussed is what should happen should the mayor - any mayor - leave office with roughly two years left to serve. Commissioner Monique Rowtham-Kennedy has suggested that instead of having the city council president serve as mayor for two years, that there been an election with one year to go.

Commission Chairman Richard Wareing said Friday that he will put the issue on an upcoming agenda. The commission has four meetings left.
