Hartford Named One Of The Best U.S. Cities To Find A Job

Hartford has been named one of the best cities in the country to find a job, according to job search engine Juju.com and a Huffington Post story.

This from city spokeswoman Sarah Barr:

---NEWS AND COMMUNITY RELEASE---

(December 7, 2010)--- Good news for job seekers. As reported by The Huffington Post, the job search engine Juju.com has named Hartford one of the best cities in the nation to find a job. Utilizing a formula that considered population, the number of unemployed workers, and posted job openings, 12 cities separated themselves from the pack and Hartford ranked number 5.

"We are appreciative of this national recognition. Hartford is located in the Knowledge Corridor, has three Fortune 100 companies, and an exquisite arts and heritage community. By having a diversified job market and taking aggressive job creation initiatives through school construction and the arts stimulus, the City will continue to make education and employment opportunities top priorities in order to bolster our business community," said Mayor Pedro E. Segarra.
