The organization responsible for developing a path that would integrate downtown Hartford's cultural and historical attractions has named a new leader of the board, as Northeast Utilities Chairman Chuck Shivery steps down.

Bonnie Malley, executive vice president and chief administrative officer of The Phoenix Companies, Inc., will be the new chairwoman. She serves on the board of directors of the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, the Connecticut chapter of the National Conference for Community and Justice, the MetroHartford Alliance and the Connecticut Forum. She is also a member of the Bushnell Theater Board of Trustees.

The iQuilt Partnership will host EnvisionFest Hartford September 29, which will include entertainment in Bushnell Park, hands-on arts projects, performances on six stages and free admission to museums in Hartford.

The city also received a $10 million federal transportation grant, which will improve Union Station and pay for the GreenWalk, the pedestrian path throughout downtown.
